The garden commission came with an owner’s objective to seamlessly integrate a new residence and its site improvements into the natural and mostly undisturbed 7.5 acre site along the banks of Buffalo Bayou. The project includes several water elements, including swimming and reflecting pools that integrate into the sites many garden rooms designed for entertaining. Texas Lueders limestone was used throughout the gardens as a hardscape material in vertical and horizontal planes to seamlessly blend interior stone flooring with the exterior environment.
